Amanda Gamel was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She began dancing at the early age of 3 where she trained in ballet, tap and jazz. Her first professional stage debut was at Six Flags Astroworld at age 16. Soon after, she auditioned and was the youngest selected into the prestigious Texas Entertainment Company Dance Force Productions where she performed for recording artists as well as stage and television productions. During that time she entered numerous talent competitions. Best New Talent selected her to compete in Los Angeles for both acting and dancing. She was casted in the Off-Broadway musical “The Donkey Show,” which spiked her interest to the world of acting. With her new connection to fine arts, this motivated her to advance in the entertainment industry. With the support of her family and friends, Amanda packed her hopes and dreams in a bag and moved to Los Angeles, California, where she graduated from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Since her move across the states, she has advanced her training in hip-hop, jazz, musical theater, and acting in both stage and film. She has worked as a professional dancer and actor for Disney, various Latin and hip-hop recording artists, BET Awards, VMA Awards, TV shows, Off-Broadway musicals, music videos, and commercials. In the past few years she has filmed a pilot for Nickelodeon “Peas and Carrots,” choreographed and stunt doubled for Alpine Productions film “The Gold Retrievers,” and made it on the big screen dancing in the film “Made of Honor.” Her most recent works include playing a supporting role in the Indie film “The Poor Boys,” hosting for IndieZone TV at the South By South West Music and Film Festival, and danced in World of Color’s Glowfest for Disney. From a young girl performing in her living room to a multi-talented artist across the states, Amanda has loved entertaining her family, friends, and the world. She enjoys expressing herself through various forms of art and sharing her gift with others by teaching dance and musical theater to children who aspire to be performers. Her admiration of theater and films from the 1940’s has shaped her goals of becoming a performer. Physical fitness is not only important, but an enjoyable and relaxing part of Amanda’s daily life along with scuba diving, aerial dance and gyrotronics. She is a dedicated and passionate diligent worker who exceeds expectations in any task.
